Monty's is an upscale casual restaurant in Harrisonburg, VA serving comfort food with a modern touch. Our menu has been crafted to celebrate quality ingredients while inspiring a sense of community. Indulge in a selection of elevated classics, including vegan and gluten-free options, alongside traditional favorites. A full bar features seasonal craft cocktails, delicious local craft beer and a vast wine selection to pair beautifully with our menu.
In a nod to our formerly named Montpelier Restaurant, the name Monty’s is meant to evoke an excellent experience in the friendly environment for which we are known at Hotel Madison.
Monty's menus are developed from the experience and heart of Tassie Pippert, chef extraordinaire of the Emmy-award winning show Un-Wine’d, professor emeritus of JMU’s Hart School of Hospitality, and now our Chef-in-Residence. We are delighted to share her dishes under the direction of Executive Chef Matt Carothers.
